2. What makes the Deluxe version of the game special?
The Deluxe version of the game will come with a larger box than any retail edition, with special foil uv treatment, all the stretch goals unlocked during this campaign, additional standees, and a special acrylic Movie Moment display stand. The playmat and Moon Logo Token Holder will not fit into the Deluxe box.

3. How did you choose the movies on the Movie Moment cards?
We had access to a lot of movies from Roger Corman’s New Horizons library, as well as public domain movies. We chose strange and oddly captivating movies that would benefit from some fun riffs. In some cases, we chose movies that were featured on MST3K already. Not all the movies would have aired on the show given their mature content (some of which is no joking matter), but the style and cheesy nature of the films shone through and gave us a few outlandish and wild images outside of that content that we couldn’t pass up on.

4. How did you come up with the riffs on the Riff cards?
In MST3K proper, most riffs are written for specific moments to directly tie into the film’s audio, visual, and technical cues, and last for the duration of a film to allow for callbacks. For the purpose of the standard mode in this game, you only have an image, and never know if you will be faced with a girl from Nashville singing her heart out on a guitar or a person in a rubberized fishman suit when each turn starts, so we had to adapt the process a little bit. The riffs in the game are originals or inspired by classic riffs from the show and are broad enough in scope to tackle the wide range of images contained in the Movie Moment deck. We never wanted to constrain the players to just these though, so we made sure to have the oversized Riff cards with dry erase markers so you can riff the way that speaks to your heart.

5. Did any of the stars of MST3K take part in the Kickstarter?
All four actors on the cover (Joel Hodgson, Michael Nelson, Jonah Ray, Emily Marsh) approved all the art they appeared on and are fully aware of the Kickstarter. Our partners at Shout! Factory have been in communication with them throughout the process of finalizing everything for launch. Tom Servo and Crow T. 6. Why is shipping so expensive?

7. Do I have to pay VAT?
If we import your rewards into the UK and EU, we will have to pay a VAT (value-added tax) based on the value of the product (i.e., the sales price). The percentage is based on the specific country we are importing to and will be charged as a tax when checking out in BackerKit’s pledge manager.

8. Will there be a pledge manager/survey? Do I need to complete it?
Yes, if you pledge, a short time after the campaign you will be invited to a survey powered by Backerkit that will allow you to provide your shipping information, upgrade your tier, choose additional add-ons, and pay for shipping. You NEED to complete your survey; otherwise, we won’t even have an address to ship your rewards.

9. Can I get multiple copies of the different rewards?
Yes, you can choose most items and tiers as add-ons if you would like more than one. You can do this on Kickstarter or after the campaign in the pledge manager powered by BackerKit. If you do it during the campaign, you can help unlock stretch goals!

10. How do I order the add-ons shown on the Kickstarter page?
After you pledge to a tier, you will have the option of choosing add-ons on Kickstarter. You can get any of the items listed as add-ons AND additional quantities of any of the tiers. If you’re already pledged, you can click your pledge again and adjust your selection to choose add-ons. Also, after the campaign, there will be a pledge manager that will allow you to choose more add-ons or adjust the quantity on the ones you ordered.

12. If I sleeve my cards, will the cards and other components fit in the boxes?
We planned the Deluxe box to fit as much as we can in it, but figured more players would care about keeping the box sized according to its contents.You should be able to fit sleeved Riff cards if you occupy one of the other wells, but we didn’t plan for sleeving Movie Moment cards since they need to be inserted into the display.

Yes, if you pledge $1, you will be invited to the pledge manager, where you’ll be able to upgrade to any pledge tier or just choose add-ons.

15. Can I just buy the Stretch Goals?
No, 1 copy of all the Stretch Goals will be included in each Deluxe box included with every tier (including any add-on versions of tiers). That’s the only way to get them.

17. Can I add additional funds to my pledge to cover shipping and/or VAT now?
Yes, anything you pledge in Kickstarter can be applied to shipping, VAT, or additional items in the pledge manager after the Kickstarter so you can definitely add additional funds now (either when you first pledge or by clicking your pledge and adjusting it manually). Whether you pledge to a tier or pledge without a reward, all the money you pledge can be applied to your final order in the pledge manager.

18. What about tariffs? Do I have to pay for those?
We partly accounted for tariffs in our item pricing, but generally speaking we are paying the cost of tariffs and we will not pass them onto backers UNLESS there is a catastrophic, unexpected increase in tariffs.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
